Fred concentrates his practice on tax issues, business representation, securities law and commercial real estate matters. For more than 30 years he has represented clients in achieving their legal needs by offering sound guidance to accomplish their goals and avoid legal issues in the future.  He has extensive experience contesting tax assessments, dealing with all matters real estate related, such as the deferred exchange of properties and Regulation D offerings.

Based in Wisconsin, Fred is also is admitted to practice in Georgia.  An example of some of the matters Fred has handled includes:

  • Contested a Wisconsin income tax assessment for a Fortune 500 company involving an amount exceeding $1 million in tax 
  • Represented a terminated wine and spirits distributorship that resulted in a $10.5 million judgment in favor of the distributor  
  • The deferred exchange of numerous commercial real estate properties on a direct and delayed basis, including the delayed exchange of the sale of development rights for fee title to farmland 
  • Tax and business planning for closely held corporations, partnerships, and limited liability companies including asset and entity acquisitions and dispositions in taxable and tax-deferred transactions
