Cody Nickel assists clients in resolving complex commercial disputes, with a focus on shareholder matters, contract claims, employment issues, and construction litigation. Known for his strategic approach and client-first mindset, Cody brings urgency and creativity to each matter, from the first consultation through trial and appeal.
Cody represents businesses and individuals in high-stakes disputes across Minnesota and Nebraska. His practice includes breach of contract cases, shareholder and partnership disputes, employment litigation, construction conflicts, and other complex commercial matters. Clients value his ability to anticipate opposing strategies and craft tailored solutions that protect both immediate and long-term business interests.
Before joining the firm, Cody clerked for Judge Laurie Smith Camp of the U.S. District Court for the District of Nebraska. He previously practiced at both a local firm in Nebraska and an international firm in New York City. His earlier experience with a prosecutor’s office and at the Pentagon gives him a broad perspective on client challenges and the tools to navigate sensitive business and legal concerns.
