Erin specializes in the software and computer engineering fields and has successfully assisted clients in receiving patents and litigating in these areas, particularly for computer software, cyber security, artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning.

She assists clients with all facets of intellectual property law, particularly patent prosecution, litigation, and opinion letters, but also in copyrights, trademarks, licensing, and portfolio management/guidance. In this capacity, Erin assists companies from start to finish whether it be drafting and obtaining issuance of patent applications, reviewing and analyzing technical litigation issues, or overall IP strategy and guidance.

Her experience includes representing a multinational cybersecurity and anti-virus provider in a cybersecurity patent infringement matter. Erin conducted code review, code analysis, claim construction, creation of expert reports and provided deposition assistance in this multi-million-dollar matter.

She regularly manages client relationships to include advising a ground-breaking AI and market-leading applications company on its IP matters while conducting regular client meetings, docket reviews and consistently keeping the client alert of critical decisions which need to be made in relation to its patents.

Additionally, Erin regularly advises a leading packaging company which develops sustainable, recyclable packaging on its IP matters.

Erin also works on assisting startups and individual entrepreneurs in understanding their intellectual property rights, how best to protect those rights, and the potential pitfalls startups and entrepreneurs face in regard to intellectual property protection.
